    Old and Rare Book Roadshow

    Jim Presgraves of the Bookworm & Silverfish Bookstore in Wytheville, VA, will evaluate old and rare books at the Lynchburg Public Library on Thursday, May 2, from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM.  A fee of $5.00 per book will be charged, with a 3 book maximum per person, per consultation.  If the book is not worth anything, the $5.00 will be returned. 

    Jim Presgraves has appraised single books and collections of books and/or manuscripts, letters, and documents since 1968 for inheritance, insurance, and donation purposes.  As a member of the Antiquarian Booksellers Association of America, he has participated in its Appraisal Clinics.

    He has operated the book store since 1973.  He is a member of the Antiquarian Booksellers Association and was a founder of the Southeast Chapter.  He is retired from the National Association of Antique Dealers.

                  This program is co-sponsored by the Friends of the Lynchburg Public Library and the Library. The program is open to the public on a first-come, first served basis.
