Notice to all Library Borrowers
The Lynchburg Public Library has entered into a shared services agreement with the Campbell County Library and the Bedford Regional Library. As a result, the reciprocal borrowing agreement between Lynchburg and the Amherst County Public Library will end on January 1, 2015.
Both localities will still issue library cards to residents of the other locality, but books and other items may not be placed on hold or requested by residents of the other locality. Any book borrowed after December 2, 2014 will be due back on December 23, 2014 and may not be renewed.
The first step for Lynchburg is the migration to the same Library catalog as our new partners. This move will provide Lynchburg card holders a larger collection of library materials from which to choose. A Lynchburg borrower’s card will continue to be available to Amherst County residents. Staff is happy to answer your questions.
Thank you for your patience during this time of transition.
In the event of inclement weather, a program or event may need to be canceled. For the most up-to-date information, please check our Facebook or Twitter pages or call the library directly at (434) 455-6300.
