Two excellent histories of the Lynchburg Public Library have been written.

Pat Doyle, a member of the Friends of the Library, wrote The Lynchburg Public Library Celebrates Its 40th Birthday
for the Fall/Winter 2005/2006 issue of  Lynch's Ferry magazine.  Lynch's Ferry holds the copyright and has given us permission to include the article on our web page.

Ken Morrison, former reference librarian, wrote History of the Lynchburg Public Library 
for the Oct/Nov/Dec 2006 issue of Virginia Libraries.  The Virginia Library Association holds the copyright and has given permission to include it on our web page.
