    Museum Volunteers Opportunities

There are many opportunities available to you as a volunteer of the Lynchburg Museum System. At the Museum and Point of Honor, volunteers conduct guided tours and teach hands-on activities. Volunteers are also needed in the Point of Honor Gift Shop, as research assistants, to help with mass mailings, summer camps, special projects, and special events.

The Lynchburg Museum System strives to create and deliver quality educational programming. Training is conducted by museum staff. At special events you will have opportunities to learn from and work with interpreters and crafters with specific expertise.

As a volunteer we know you are not simply someone looking for ways to fill empty hours. You are someone with a wealth of knowledge and many abilities, someone we at the Lynchburg Museum System will also learn from.

Become a volunteer with the Lynchburg Museum System and become part of a special group who educate people on the diverse and amazing history of Lynchburg.

For additional information, please contact Volunteer Coordinator Whitney Roberts at (434) 455-4424 or by email.
