Community Health Event (Oct. 22)
The Lynchburg Fire Department is partnering with Lynchburg Parks and Recreation, Centra Health Trauma Services and the Daniels Hill Community Center to conduct a free, community health event on Tuesday, October 22, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Daniels Hill Community Center, 317 Norwood Street.
During the event, basic medical and life safety techniques will be taught, including hands-only CPR training and emergency bleeding control. This event will provide basic medical training that can be used at work, school, home and in the community at large.
Zachary Foster, a nine-year veteran with the Lynchburg Fire Department, approached the other partners about working together to plan the event. “If by conducting the event we can help train someone to save just one life, it will be well worth” said Foster.
