    Lynchburg Museum and Point of Honor Participating in Blue Star Museum Program

    The Lynchburg Museum, 901 Court Street and Point of Honor, 112 Cabell Street, are participating again this year in Blue Star Museums which offers free admission to active duty military and their families. The Blue Star Museum program is in its fifth year collaboration with the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, The Department of Defense, and more than 2,000 museums.
     
    From Memorial Day (Monday, May 26, 2014) to Labor Day (Monday, September 1, 2014), Blue Star Museums will offer free admission any bearer of a Geneva Convention common access card (CAC), a DD Form 1173 ID card (dependent ID), or a DD Form 1173‐1 ID card, including National Guard and Reservists, and their families.  Retirees from service are not eligible for free admission.
