    New Children's Storytime Room

The Lynchburg Public Library is getting a new storytime room dedicated just for children’s storytelling and quiet reading. Within this special room, children will be able to enjoy exciting adventures as librarians present interactive storytimes or take tiny vacations as they listen quietly to books being read aloud by parents or other caregivers. Either way, children will now have a space to let their imaginations soar through the magic of books.

This much-needed room would not be possible without generous community support. St. John’s Episcopal Church has pledged $150,000 to build the outside and Friends of the Library have pledged to raise $100,000 to outfit the inside, which includes a $10,000 donation from the City. Liberty University donated the land for the addition. Completion of this project is expected to be early summer.
