    Public Libraries' Computer System Down

    LION, the shared computer system of the Amherst County Public Library and the Lynchburg Public Library, will be down for major maintenance and a system upgrade from Sunday, May 19 - Wednesday, May 22.  All libraries will be open and items can be checked out, but users will not be able to search the database of holdings, pay fines, place requests for specific titles, or check their accounts.  No items are due on these days and no fines will be charged for these days.  The libraries’ online resources, including

    e-books, Tumblebooks, Learning Express, Literati Public, Freading, FINDITVA, etc. will be accessible as usual from their web sites and from mobile apps.
