Review of From Poverty to Progress Grant Applications (May 31)

On Thursday, May 31 at 10:00 a.m., the Community Development Advisory Committee (CDAC) will review applications for funding assistance associated with the From Poverty to Progress workgroups. The reviews will take place in the Second Floor Training Room in City Hall, 900 Church Street. Six grant applications were submitted for review.

In November 2017, City Council directed staff to determine a method of fund review for specific action items identified by the established From Poverty to Progress workgroups. Council agreed to carve out a portion of the annual allocation directed to poverty reduction in Lynchburg for this purpose. City Council decided that the CDAC would be an appropriate board to facilitate review of grant applications.
