On Wednesday, July 11, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., contractors will be installing a water service connection to a new development on Old Graves Mill Road. In order to complete the replacement, water will be turned off to the following customers:
• Old Graves Mill (1300, 1200, 1100, 1000 blocks)
• Valleydale Drive
• Tomahawk Drive
• Cobblestone Drive
• Sandbridge Court
• Bridgeton Court
After the water is turned back on, a Boil Water Advisory will be issued for the affected area.
PLEASE NOTE: Individual notices will not be issued; however, the City of Lynchburg's Department of Water Resources will post the information online here as well as:
Boil Water Advisories typically last 48 hours after they are issued, so please check this website or Lynchburg Water Resources’ social media accounts on Friday, July 13 to see when the Boil Water Advisory is lifted.
Additionally, if customers experience discolored water, they should run cold water for three to five minutes until the water clears. Do not run hot water. If the water remains discolored longer than five minutes, please contact the Department of Water Resources.
