Update on Rehabilitation Work to Midtown Parking Deck (Beginning Aug. 19)

Beginning Monday, August 19, the next portion of Phase 3 continues on the Midtown Parking Deck. This work will include the preparation for the epoxy overlay on the alleyway from Main Street and the ramps from Levels A, B and C.

Work will be performed on one side at a time so the alleyway will not have to be completely closed during the operation. Flaggers will be in place, and pedestrian traffic will be open at all times.

On Friday, August 23, beginning at 4:00 p.m., crews will apply the epoxy coating to the alleyway and ramps. This process is expected to take approximately 18 hours to complete and another 40 hours to “cure.”  Once this process begins, vehicles parked on the top deck will not be able to be moved until Monday, August 26 at 6:00 a.m. This work will essentially render Level A and the ramps to Level B and C closed from Friday, August 23 at 4:00 p.m. until Monday, August 26 at 6:00 a.m.

Motorists and pedestrians are reminded that this entire process is weather permitting.
