The City of Lynchburg is a great place to live, work and play. One important way for citizens to become engaged in their community is to volunteer to serve on a City Council appointed board or commission.
In September 2018, there will be anticipated vacancies on several boards and commissions. Residents who are interested in being considered to fill one of the vacancies are invited to complete an application available here
. An application may also be obtained from the Clerk of Council Office, City Hall, 900 Church Street, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The following boards and commissions will have vacancies when terms end in September 2018:
► Social Services Advisory Board
2 vacancies (eligible to serve again)
► Board of Building Code Appeals
► Redevelopment & Housing Authority
3 vacancies (eligible to serve again)
► Lynchburg Business Development Centre
3 vacancies (2 eligible to serve again)
Please note: Although some individuals are eligible to serve another term, there is no guarantee that the individual will be reappointed.
