Lynchburg has many wonderful places for you to enjoy. The City has 850 acres of parkland, including 18 parks and 2 natural areas. Along with our parks, over 35 miles of paved and unpaved trails are found within the city limits. Historic buildings include the Aviary in Miller Park, and the Community Market and Armory at 12th & Main Street. The City Stadium in the Fort Avenue neighborhood has both a baseball and football complex. Our nine community centers are located in communities throughout the city, offering community meeting space, after-school programs, and classes and activities for all ages. The Nature Zone offers environmental education programs and natural history exhibits, as well as a small live-animal area. Miller Park Pool is the only public outdoor pool in Lynchburg, though the sprayground and downtown fountain at Riverfront Park also offer opportunities to stay cool in the summer.
