Purpose:

The Virginia Alcohol Safety Action Program (VASAP) Board provides probation, education and rehabilitation of those persons charged with a violation of Section 18.2-266 of the Code of Virginia.

Members:

Per Resolution #80-102:

"The policy Board shall consist of the present members of the Central Virginia Alcohol Safety Action Program Policy Advisory Board (a physician, a bar association member, a General District Court Judge, a law enforcement official, a Commonwealth Attorney, a driver education specialist and representative appointed at-large by the governing body of each participating jurisdiction) and shall continue to be composed of one representative from each participating jurisdiction appointed at-large by the governing body and other private citizens as the Policy Board may deem appropriate;"
