Grants Administration

The application process for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Program funds for Program Year 2024/Fiscal Year 2025 (July 1, 2024-June 30, 2025) will begin on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 and end on Thursday, February 1, 2024. The application may be obtained below as a fillable PDF. A Microsoft Word version may be requested by contacting the Grants Administration Office at (434) 455-3929 or email Gabrielle Bateman. All Applications must be completed and returned to the Grants Administration Office no later than 4:00 PM on Thursday, February 1, 2024 to be eligible for funding consideration by City Council. Annual Action Plan

City Council has approved the proposed housing and non-housing community development goals for the Program Year (PY) 2023 Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 Annual Action Plan. View the Approved Goals (PDF).

HOME American Rescue Plan (HOME-ARP)

The City of Lynchburg is a recipient of the HOME Investment Partnerships Program American Rescue Plan (HOME-ARP) funds administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). These supplemental funds must be used to perform activities that primarily benefit qualifying individuals and families that are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or in other vulnerable populations.
