Part-Time Paid Time Off (PTO40)

Paid Time Off (PTO) for the following part-time employees:

  • Hired on or after July 1, 2015 and
  • Hired in a part-time position budgeted at .6FTE or more
  • Newly hired part-time employees receive prorated paid time off at the time of hire, based on the quarter in which they are hired:
    • Quarter 1: 40 hours
    • Quarter 2: 30 hours
    • Quarter 3: 20 hours
    • Quarter 4: 10 hours (if prior to November 1)
    • 40 hours is awarded on January 1, thereafter

Part-time PTO40 may be used for any absence at the discretion and approval of the employee's supervisor. Unused PTO40 does not carry forward into the next calendar year and is not paid out upon separation.
