Water, Sewer, & Stormwater Bill Increases

Effective July 1, 2023, the water rate, sewer rate, and stormwater fee will increase.
The new rates and fees are as follows:

• Water Rate $2.93 based on 748 gallons of use
• Sewer Rate $8.10 based on 748 gallons of use
• Stormwater Fee $4.48 based on 1 single family unit (SFU)
• Monthly Sewer Only Rate $63.07

The Monthly Account Charge will remain the same at $7.69

These increases will enable the City of Lynchburg to adequately maintain and replace aging infrastructure, meet regulatory requirements, work towards our mission, and continue to provide high quality and reliable water, sewer, and stormwater services. Our mission is clear: Promote the life, health, and prosperity of our community. This is achieved by our ability to provide you with clean, safe drinking water; being able to flush the toilet day or night; and roads not flooding during rainstorms.
